| Information about the eclipse 是次日食資料 |
A total solar eclipse will occur on July 11 (UTC) / July 12 (Hong Kong Time). However, the lunar umbra will spend most of its time on Earth across the southern Pacific Ocean, sweeping across only a few islands in the interim. The path of totality will initially travel northeastward, followed by a turn to the southeast. It will arrive at southern Chile near the end of the umbra's visit to Earth, and the total eclipse will end as southern Argentina sees sunset.
